When a question is posted to the Gautrain social media platforms, mainly Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Foursquare, Gautrain will respond as promptly as possible and where possible, during working hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). In the event that an enquiry falls outside of these working hours, Gautrain will respond as soon as possible when office hours resume. Gautrain makes use of social media to engage followers to learn about their commuting experiences, issues they may encounter, public transport industry as well as the train commuting industry. Gautrain’s role is to contribute to relevant conversations and to promote Gautrain programs and services. No communication to Gautrain through these social media sites shall be deemed to constitute legal or official notice for any purpose. Users may, however, contact Gautrain though the Contact Us methods.
While Gautrain makes reasonable efforts to monitor and moderate content posted on its social media platforms, Gautrain does not moderate all comments at all times and may not respond immediately to online requests. Gautrain reserves the exclusive right to review, edit and/or delete any comments deemed inappropriate. Users that persist otherwise will be banned.
Gautrain expects that participants on its social media communities will treat each other with respect. Gautrain requests that participants are respectful in their comments.
