Construction of the viaduct that crosses the N1 and the John Vorster Interchange was completed during June 2010. Erection of catenary masts over this structure has been completed and tracklaying operations are also in progress
A total of just under 150 kilometres of track needs to be laid for the Gautrain route. At the end of July 66% of the track was laid.
