Power has been restored and train services are being restarted. Delays will continue for the next hour or so as we return to schedule.
Gautrain train services to the airport and between Marlboro and the Johannesburg CBD have been restored from this mornings interruption, 29 August 2014. Disruption of train services were due to an Eskom cable which broke and fell across the Gautrain alignment near to Marlboro station. This resulted in complete loss of traction power to the trains south of Marlboro and towards the airport.
