Gautrain was awarded with two Gold Quill Awards from the African Region of the International Association of Business Communicators.
Both the awards were won in the Communication Management Division which criteria assesses the strategic input of research outcomes in long term communication strategies. With the diverse stakeholder groups with whom Gautrain communicates, one of the awards was for the Project’s overall integrated communication and marketing strategy. The other award went to an equally important strategy – media management.
These two winning submission have now automatically been entered into the international IABC Gold Quill Awards.
The IABC Africa Quill Awards recognises excellence in business communication. These awards go to professionals who have proved that their communication strategies and programmes effectively furthered the goals of an organisation or project.
“It is not us, the communication discipline of the project that got this recognition. It is this magic project that enables us to compile, implement and evaluate such excellent strategies. It is Gautrain that takes us to these heights”, says the Communication and Marketing Manager for Gautrain, Barbara Jensen.
