Yesterday some Gautrain operating staff embarked on limited industrial action.
At this time, all train services are operating normally and to schedule. All stations are open for business. The Gautrain bus service is however operating a reduced service with only the Sandton CBD route operating normally. The Rhodesfield and Wendywood routes have been temporarily suspended and all other routes are operating a reduced service.
Service updates will appear in the media and on the web at: www.gautrain.co.za or www.gautrain.mobi. Passengers can also contact the Gautrain customer contact centre: 0800 Gautrain / 0800 428 87246 for more information. Bus passengers can phone 010 223 1098 for real time information on the location of buses.
Talks between the strikers and management are ongoing in an effort to reach a resolution as soon as possible.
